Low emission zones

Meanwhile already over 50 German cities have set up low emission zones (LEZ).
More than 25 cities exclude vehicles with a red sticker completely. In Berlin, Bremen, Frankfurt on Main, Hanover, Leipzig, Osnabrück and Stuttgart vehicles without a green particulate sticker are no longer allowed to drive into the inner-city area. Further cities announced an aggravation of their environmental zones on green such as Munich in October 2012. Drivers, who infringe the regulations, risk a 40 euro fine and one penalty point on their license recorded at the Flensburg database.
