Indian emissions legislation requires as of April 2010 the installation of exhaust-gas aftertreatment systems in motor vehicles in use in the National Capital Region (Delhi) and 12 mega cities, with the same restrictions being applied nationwide as likely 2014/2015. This will affect all 3- and 4-wheelers as well as trucks and buses.
