Diesel particulate filters for public transport buses
The centrepiece of all HJS exhaust treatment systems is the sintered metal filter (SMF
®), a filter system with which HJS sets new standards in the global marketplace. This enclosed 100% filter for buses reduces the emissions of soot particles, including fine particulate matter, down to the limit of detection, with a filter efficiency of over 99%, which means that such a filter complies with the limits laid down not only in Euro V, but also in the EEV (
Enhanced
Environmentally
Friendly
Vehicle) standard.
Put your trust in the SMF® when retrofitting your bus and benefit from our many years of experience in the business. So far, market leaders such as EvoBus, MAN, Solaris, VanHool and VDL have approved the HJS diesel particulate filter systems for series production for their vehicles. Throughout Europe, over 10,000 buses have already been successfully retrofitted with HJS exhaust treatment systems.
Modular SMF®-CRT® system
The proven SMF®-CRT® (Continuous Regeneration Technology) system is suitable for buses and local authority vehicles that are primarily operated in the urban environment. Numerous studies conducted on engine test stands, by various vehicle manufacturers and by the TÜV-Nord technical inspection agency in Essen have confirmed the exemplary operating efficiency of the HJS SMF®-CRT® system.
- Over 99% reduction of soot particles, including fine particulate matter
- Over 95% reduction of gaseous pollutants (CO / HC)
Flexible solution for different applications
Thanks to their modular construction, sintered metal filters can be used in various systems and versions to suit different applications. They are suitable both as original equipment (OE) and also for retrofitting in buses. This also enables, for instance, newer buses that are already equipped with an SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system for reducing nitrogen oxide emissions to be fitted with an SMF
®, too.
