While SCR technology concentrates on reducing nitrogen oxide emissions by exhaust gas after-treatment and particulate matter can to some extent be minimized in the engine, the use of SCRT technology has the advantage of being able to achieve significant reductions in both particulate matter and nitrogen oxides at the same time. HJS is also working on pioneering concepts involving the use of ammonium carbamate (AC) as a reducing agent.
