Compliance with the limit values in force for pollutants is achieved to some extent by modifications within the engine. Using an HJS modular CRT® system lowers emissions of pollutants by a further 90%, reducing them to the detection limit of modern emission technologies. This makes diesel engines even more environmentally friendly. The modular CRT® system consists of a particulate filter and an upstream oxidation catalyst. The entire system - oxidation catalyst and particulate filter - is integrated into the stainless steel casing of the silencer so that it can be easily installed in an existing exhaust gas system without the need to modify any connections. Numerous tests on engine test benches, including at the RWTÜV in Essen, have confirmed the over 90% reduction in carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbon (HC) and particulate (PM) emissions.
