Low emission zones in germany

German low emission zones (LEZs)
German low emission zones (LEZs)

Meanwhile already over 70 German cities have set up low emission zones (LEZ). More than 25 cities exclude vehicles with a red sticker completely. In Berlin, Bremen, Frankfurt on Main, Hanover, Leipzig, Osnabrück and Stuttgart vehicles without a green particulate sticker are no longer allowed to drive into the inner-city area. Further cities announced an aggravation of their environmental zones on green such as Munich in October 2012. Drivers, who infringe the regulations, risk a 40 euro fine and one penalty point on their license recorded at the Flensburg database.
