SMF\u00ae coating<\/strong><\/p>

We meet the requirements for a regeneration-supporting coating for the sintered metal filter using a customized nanoscale coating technology that is otherwise not used for particle filters. Two different versions of this technology are in series production at MAN Truck and Bus and in Volkswagen drive systems. Our own coating technology center with synthesis gas test bench ensures continuous further development. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

SMF\u00ae<\/strong><\/p>

Based on the analysis of market requirements for a robust full-flow particle filter with high ash storage capacity, we have developed a completely new filter material including the associated manufacturing processes. The patented Jetfilter\u00ae design supports these special properties. Based on the scientific know-how of particle filtration, we were able to develop a partial-flow filter that has already been used around 1 million times worldwide. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

SMF\u00ae-AR<\/strong><\/p>

For the application-independent use of SMF\u00ae, the need for a corresponding regeneration process is determined. For this purpose, we use an additive-supported thermoelectric regeneration process developed by HJS, including the ECU control unit. This globally patented system has a market share of approx. 70% in construction machinery in Switzerland, for example. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

SCRT\u00ae<\/strong><\/p>

In addition to soot particles, nitrogen oxides are a key element of regulated emissions from diesel engines in all areas of application. SCR catalytic converters are used to reduce these emissions (NOx<\/sub> = NO + NO2<\/sub>) using a reducing agent (AdBlue\u00ae or DEF). SCR stands for Selective Catalytic Reduction<\/em>. At HJS, we began developing this technology back in the mid-1990s.

Together with its project partners Daimler and Johnson Matthey, HJS has developed the SCRT\u00ae system (Selective Catalytic Reduction + Trap) to reduce gaseous pollutants in combination with a diesel particulate filter. This modular system also removes particles and nitrogen oxides almost completely from diesel exhaust gases. In recent years, SCRT\u00ae technology has established itself as the standard for diesel vehicles when it comes to really clean exhaust gases. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

CB\u00b2<\/strong><\/p>

The ever lower exhaust gas temperatures of modern diesel engines are placing ever greater demands on exhaust gas aftertreatment systems. Active thermal management can make a significant contribution to emission and fuel consumption-efficient exhaust gas aftertreatment. This can be an internal engine solution or a stand-alone solution with CB\u00b2 technology, a catalytic burner without a flame and additional air supply. The control of such a thermal management system can also be realized via our HJS ACU control unit. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

SCRT\u00aeTM with active thermal management<\/strong><\/p>

Modern city buses offer maximum exhaust gas purification through the combined use of particulate filters and SCR technology. However, buses in inner-city traffic often do not reach the temperature required for the SCR catalytic converter to function optimally.

Vehicle manufacturers therefore only meet the high requirements of the Euro VI emissions standard through the use of engine thermal management (TM). HJS transfers this concept as a self-sufficient system architecture to the retrofitting of existing vehicles. The HJS SCRT\u00aeTM system for public transport uses two networked actuators to ensure that the systems offer the best possible reduction performance under all ambient conditions, even at low loads in stop & go operation and at bus stops – without influencing the engine.
