    HJS discussed the latest developments and the future of diesel with renowned industry and research representatives in Coventry, UK. The engineering service provider FEV hosted the international “Diesel Powertrains 3.0” conference for the fourth time. This year’s specialist event focused on the next generation of clean and sustainable diesel drives. Suppliers such as HJS provided insights into current research. The specialist presentations by representatives of leading industry companies provided important impetus. <\/p>\n\n

    Harmful exhaust gases are to be reduced<\/strong>The focus this year was on the optimization and electrification of diesel engines. The aim is to reduce pollutant emissions in real-world operation while minimizing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. This is also important to the exhaust system supplier from Menden: “We are constantly developing our technologies on the basis of our many years of close cooperation with all well-known vehicle and engine manufacturers. For example, we have just launched the SCRTTM<\/sub>system, the next generation of exhaust gas aftertreatment with active thermal management.” <\/p>\n\n

    Growing challenges in the industry<\/strong>The experts in Coventry also discussed the growing challenges in the industry, such as the public image of diesel engines and the new test conditions. With more than 30 presentations, the “Diesel Powertrains 3.0” conference ultimately provided a comprehensive insight into trends – including in research.
