With this sentence, Dr. Siegfried Balleis, the federal government&#8217;s special representative for the &#8220;Clean Air Immediate Action Programme&#8221;, opened a get-together of local authorities and transport companies in Berlin on the public transport funding guidelines for retrofitting diesel buses. The Federal Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure (BMVI) had invited participants to this exchange, which was also attended by suppliers of corresponding NOx reduction systems. The meeting was held under the motto: Clean buses for clean cities. During the meeting, representatives of the Federal Government emphasized the importance of retrofitting buses to comply with NOx emission limits. The high demands on the technical effectiveness of the promoted systems were explained by T\u00dcV Nordrhein. In addition to the demanding certification measurement in real operation with a portable emission measurement system (PEMS), field monitoring by the KBA is also planned.      <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Strong response to presentation at D\u00fcsseldorfer Rheinbahn<br\/><\/strong>Following the great response to the presentation of the first diesel bus with retrofitted SCRT\u00ae technology and active thermal management on July 20, 2018 in D\u00fcsseldorf with Transport Minister Andreas Scheuer (CSU), HJS invited eligible bus operators to a conference center in Berlin on Thursday, July 26, 2018, to inform them about the technical concept of the Menden-based company&#8217;s bus retrofit.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hjs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/1_HJS_SCRT_mit_aktivem_TM-300x166.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2040\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hjs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/SCRT_Citaro_back-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2043\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p><strong>Key function of active thermal management<br\/><\/strong>Retrofitting with the proven HJS <sup>SCRT\u00ae<\/sup> technology &#8211; enhanced with active thermal management &#8211; ensures the best possible reduction in nitrogen oxide emissions for buses in urban operation. And that on any route and at any time of year. Retrofitting buses with this HJS technology is therefore one of the most effective and efficient measures to reduce nitrogen oxides in cities and thus actively contribute to avoiding driving bans. Local public transport can thus be brought up to Euro VI level quickly and cost-effectively. In line with the funding guidelines published in March, the retrofitting is largely financed by the federal government.    <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Broad product range &#8211; systems for Evobus now also presented<\/strong><br\/>In addition to the system variants for MAN buses already presented in D\u00fcsseldorf, HJS now also presented the sophisticated solution for EVOBUS vehicles to the public for the first time. In addition to optimized nitrogen oxide reduction (SCR) with active thermal management, this system variant also integrates a diesel particulate filter into the extremely tight installation space of the original exhaust system. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Why the driver won&#8217;t notice any difference<br\/><\/strong>The special feature of this system is also its integration into the manufacturer&#8217;s existing on-board infrastructure. The tank level and on-board diagnostics are fully retained. &#8220;We thus offer complete, integrated system monitoring. The integrated retrofit does not result in any changes for the driver of the bus or for the handling of the vehicle in the workshop.
