With the acquisition of a fully automatic 6-inch tube bending machine, HJS Emission Technology has significantly expanded its range of services in the field of cold forming.
As a classic exhaust specialist, HJS supplies turn-key system solutions as well as components such as
, for example thermally insulated decoupling elements for exhaust pipes. With its previous bending expertise for tubes of up to 3 inches, the focus was on applications in the classic passenger car, construction machinery and light commercial vehicle segments. As machine performance has increased, the company’s customers have also developed a great need for larger tubes for motors with higher performance. For this reason, HJS’s bending expertise was expanded with the purchase of a 6-inch tube bending machine in order to be able to serve the broad customer product portfolio in a more targeted manner.
Bending radii in a ratio of 1 to the pipe diameter can already be represented using the most common dimensions. This means that even small quantities can be processed competitively in-house in the future.
Application in buses, agricultural machinery etc.
The larger exhaust pipes are used in applications such as buses, agricultural machinery and trucks, as well as in the mining, rail, marine and compressor sectors. Thanks to the new 6-inch bender and the resulting portfolio expansion, HJS is now able to serve new market segments faster, more flexibly and much more attractively.
As Tier 1 or Tier 2 in the supply chain, HJS also supplies the components directly to the OEM original equipment manufacturer.
