The fifth call for funding for hardware retrofitting with SCR systems for tradesmen’s and delivery vehicles is now available. This is the BAV’s response to the great popularity of its subsidies of up to 4,800 euros per vehicle.
As the topic of “clean air” continues to be of great importance to society, the Federal Office for Administrative Services (BAV) is very pleased about the numerous calls for funding and is launching the fifth call for funding with immediate effect. The BAV is thus once again supporting the retrofitting of tradesmen’s and delivery vehicles with up to 4,800 euros per vehicle. To receive this grant, the appropriate applications can be submitted on the BAV website by October 15, 2021.
Competent retrofitting thanks to HJS
In 2019, HJS Emission Technology GmbH & Co KG was the first company on the German market to receive a general operating license (ABE) from the KBA for “nitrogen oxide (NOx) reduction systems with increased reduction performance for the retrofitting of craftsmen’s and delivery vehicles”. This allows owners of commercially used vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of 2.8 tons or more to have their vehicles retrofitted with the latest exhaust technology for inner-city low emission zones.
Thanks to the nationwide network of trained HJS competence partners, a quick and easy hardware retrofit for the Sprinter, VW Crafter, VW T5 (also all-wheel drive) and Ford Transit models is still available immediately. Further vehicle types are in preparation. But not only commercially used vehicles can be retrofitted. The registration (ABE) has been extended to privately used vehicles.
Efficient exhaust gas purification – even at low temperatures and in part-load operation
Our proven SCR technology converts nitrogen oxides into harmless nitrogen and water vapor by adding the additive AdBlue® from a minimum exhaust gas temperature of approx. 200 °C. This is often not safely achieved, especially with commercial vehicles in urban operation. Thanks to active thermal management, HJS guarantees that the SCR catalytic converter always works with the best possible NOx reduction. The system has no influence whatsoever on the engine. In order to offer the best possible guarantee, the robust HJS system has undergone extensive test drives and test bench trials, as a result of which the control unit specially developed by HJS is used in various commercial vehicles.
