The Swiss-based VERT® Association(www.vert-dpf.eu) has been working globally to improve air quality since 1993. In this context, the association regularly certifies the “Best Available Technology” in the field of diesel particulate filtration, i.e. it recognizes the best technology currently available worldwide.
Since December 2020, there have also been technical instructions for VERT® certification for the certification of SCRT® systems, which effectively reduce nitrogen oxide emissions from diesel engines in addition to particulate filtration. In order to achieve this ambitious goal, durability tests over 10,000 km or 200 operating hours on the test bench or in real use are required in addition to measurements on new systems. Finally, the systems used for the durability runs are tested and evaluated once again. In test series on the engine test bench, the chassis dynamometer and on the road, HJS has proven that HJS SCRT® systems remove more than 85% of nitrogen oxides from the exhaust gas even after a durability run of more than 10,000 km in real road traffic and thus fulfill the most demanding of 3 effectiveness classes. For critical temperature applications, an optional electric exhaust gas heater is available, which significantly improves the effectiveness of exhaust gas cleaning in low-load operation.

The certification of the SCRT® systems from HJS proves the effectiveness of a retrofit. Expensive vehicles and machines can thus continue to be operated in an economically and ecologically sensible manner and do not have to be replaced by new ones in order to guarantee the high current exhaust emission requirements.
