HJS exhaust systems enable compliance with the lowest emission requirements with manageable effort
A new engine is not always needed to meet the increasingly stringent emission requirements in inland navigation. HJS offers customized solutions for retrofitting existing units.

HJS Emission Technology GmbH & Co. KG has been an innovative technology leader in the field of diesel engine emission reduction for 45 years. Based on this expertise, the company has developed a flexible technology kit that enables individual emission upgrades, even for small quantities and individual applications.
Self-sufficient exhaust systems based on the SCRT® architecture are used here. This means state-of-the-art exhaust technology for particulate and nitrogen oxide reduction, as with original equipment, without any modifications to the engine. HJS supports customers from the design and technical implementation through to acceptance and approval of the system.
The HJS Stage V Emission Upgrades have now also been specifically adapted to the engine package of inland waterway vessels and thus guarantee the best compromise between ecological requirements and economic aspects. HJS pursues a “plug & play” approach based on adapted hardware and control modules from the mass production environment. This approach significantly reduces the scope of investment.
Thanks to this principle, it is also possible to equip a wide variety of applications with both constant and variable speed. This makes it suitable for use in generators, construction machinery, rail and marine applications.
Another plus point, especially for ship operators, is the fact that the HJS system does not require compressed air support. This means that HJS systems may save the investment in an air compressor and the associated operating costs.
The extensive product portfolio meets the highest quality standards and contributes to the sustainable operation of the vehicle and machine fleet.
