Future-proof retrofitting for inland waterway vessels – HJS presents low-emission SCRT® technology at Maritime Industry
Menden, May 8, 2025 – HJS Emission Technology GmbH & Co. KG will present its latest developments exhaust aftertreatment for large engines in inland shipping at the upcoming Maritime Industry from May 20-22 in Gorinchem. The main focus will be on the modular SCRT® system (Selective Catalytic Reduction Technology with an integrated particulate filter), which has been specially designed for use on inland waterway vessels and makes a key contribution to meeting Stage V emission limits.
Efficient. Modular. Future-oriented.
The SCRT® and CRT systems from HJS are based on a modular construction principle, allowing flexible adaptation to a wide range of engine manufacturers, power classes, and installation conditions.
Thanks to their modular design and maintenance-friendly sintered metal filter modules, retrofit solutions can be implemented quickly and individually – with minimal installation effort and no modifications to the engine.
A Sustainable Alternative to Repowering
While a complete repowering involves high costs, long downtimes, and ecological uncertainties, HJS offers a cost-effective and sustainable bridging technology with its VERT-certified SCRT® technology.
Operators not only benefit from compliance with the Stage V limits in accordance with the NRMM Directive, but also from the opportunity to earn Green Award points and improve their certification levels.
