Error messages from the on-board electronics indicating exhaust gas aftertreatment or the diesel particulate filter (DPF®) are often caused by defective pressure sensors. It is often sufficient to replace the faulty pressure sensor and/or the associated pressure hoses instead of replacing the DPF® directly.
